The Shop Details let you control many of your site’s settings, such as the title, tagline, rewards, and shipping.
To change your site’s general settings:
- Go to your shop admin dashboard.
- Select Shop Details from the left sidebar to open the general settings tab.
Changing your site name
The first setting you will see is Name. The site Name is displayed in the title bar of a web browser and is used in google search. Click Edit to open the editor.
Your site Name can be anything you’d like; it doesn’t have to be the same as your blog’s URL or your username.
You can use a cleaned-up version of your URL (e.g., awesomeshop18 can become Awesome Shop), or change it to whatever best reflects your site’s personality and products. Note: No matter what you change your site’s title to, your address remains the same.
Make sure you click Update to save your name.
Changing your site tagline or short description
Short Description is next and is a catchy phrase to describe what your store is about. Click Edit to add a Short Description.
Some themes will display the tagline in the header or in the sidebar. Make sure you click Update to save your Short description.
Changing your shop description
Description is next and is information to describe what your store is about. Click Edit to add a Description.
Shop Description is used on the landing page of your store. Make sure you click Update to save your Description.
Changing your site contact information
Contact Information contains how your customers can contact you and other important details about your shop. Click Edit to add Contact Information.
Your shop address is used to determine the Sales tax which might affect the product you sell.
If your store offers pickup, this Address will be shown to the customers as the point of pick up.
The Email is used as your webstore support email.
Adding your Logo and Favicon
Add your Logo
Your Shop Logo is displayed in most themes in the left top corner of your site. Click Edit to open the editor and drag your logo into the image box.
Currently, logos up to a max height of 55px look best in your store front. Make sure you click Update to publish your Shop Logo.
Add your Favicon
Your Shop Favicon shows up in visitors’ browser address bars instead of the Shuup “S.”. Click Edit to open the editor and drag your logo into the Image box.
Square logos look best. Try adding the image part of your logo. Make sure you click Update to publish your Shop Favicon.
